Isn't Hizb'allah a government?
People seem to keep saying the Hizb'allah isn't a government. But isn't it? Consider:
- It has an army.
- It builds schools.
- It runs hospitals.
- It holds seats in the government of the federation to which it belongs.
- It engages in foreign relations.
- It runs a news service.
- It collects the passports of journalists operating in its territory.
- It attacks sovereign nations.
- It taxes goods.
Sounds like a government to me.
